The World’s most famous Zebra Crossing outside the World’s most famous studios, Abbey Road Studios, has been ‘listed’ by the UK Government. Now you can rest safe in the knowledge that you too can walk the zebra of fame made famous by the Beatles on your pilgrimage to the iconic recording studios without fear of the local council digging it up.
The crossing is the first of its kind ever to be listed, reflecting the cultural and historical importance of the crossing and the studios.
The above picture taken from Abbey Road’s Twitter feed shows pretty much everyone from the studios celebrating and no doubt causing a massive tailback of traffic 
We’re just a bit gutted that we couldn’t be there to take photos ourselves!

Footnote: We find it very odd that if you pay by phone to park near to Abbey Road the company is “Ringo”.
