
Simon Gogerly, engineer and record producer who won a Grammy for his work on U2′s How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb gave a production masterclass at Edinburgh’s renowned Jewel and Esk College September 2011. Simon joined SSL’s Sam Wetmore and head of music and media Jon Buglass for the two day event covering everything from 5.1 mixing to production.
Simon Gogerly also presented the college’s Golden Reel Award to the student judged to have produced the best recordings and mixes over the year at a Graduation ceremony. The winner of the award, Donald Bell also was given an SSL software package and time at Simon’s own Hub II Studios in Essex.
