<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;">APRS events sound like they may be a little less exciting than many music industry events but in actual fact the APRS Awards are one of these events that we look forward to every year.  This year was the best ever and the cast of people on stage collecting or giving awards were the Who&#8217;s Who of the recording industry (in the UK anyway):  Sir George Martin, Peter Gabriel, Trevor Horn, Robin Millar, Rupert Hine etc etc.  Videos from people who couldn&#8217;t make it included Bob Clearmountain.</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;"><a href="http://recordproduction.smugmug.com/photos/swfpopup.mg?AlbumID=10363807&amp;AlbumKey=6ysBX" target="_blank">THE HUGE SLIDESHOW OF PHOTOS OF THE EVENT</a></p>

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial; min-height: 14.0px;">
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;">Watch this one minute wobble cam video extract with Sir George talking about the X Factor and toasting the APRS.</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;">

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;">The APRS hold monthly events and becoming a member is very affordable and the benefits seem to be many but being able to network with the people who&#8217;s climbed up to the top of the industry is the most worthwhile in our book as the help and inspiration they can give is invaluable.  Take a look at the <a href="http://www.aprs.co.uk" target="_blank">APRS website</a> here.</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;">
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;">An interesting article by the Guardian&#8217;s Helienne Lindvall who reported the event is <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2009/nov/19/peter-gabriel-future-music" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>
