Ken Scott

Sonic Reality sound development company is proud to announce that the Ken Scott Collection will be released as an Infinite Player plug-in powered by Kontakt. The Ken Scott Collection is a unique collection of multi-track drum kits and grooves focused on the recreation of drum sounds from classic albums recorded by Ken Scott and 5 legendary drummers: Terry Bozzio (Missing Persons), Woody Woodmansey (David Bowie’s Spiders from Mars), Bill Cobham (Mahavishnu Orchestra), Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs) and Bob Siebenberg (Supertramp).

“For decades people have asked me how I got this sound or that drum sound on so and so’s record. Now they can not only have that information but they can get the authentic drum sound itself!” says acclaimed engineer/producer Ken Scott.

Dave Kerzner, CEO of Sonic Reality adds “It’s amazing we were even able to find all of the original vintage gear to make this product in 2008 but now Ken’s classic warm 70’s drum production is preserved for all time”.

For this unique sample collection Ken Scott, ground-breaking producer and engineer who has recorded The Beatles, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, America, Supertramp, Elton John, Devo, Missing Persons and many other classic bands is revisiting his past by recreating warm vintage multi-track drum and percussion sounds using the same rare recording equipment he used back in the day. It’s a high-end “retro” drum library/plug-in like no other featuring Sonic Reality’s deluxe iMap and GM multi-track drum kit mapping and multi-track Rex grooves for the Infinite Player. It covers a diverse range of styles from 5 of the most influential drummers in the world and includes engineering and production elements from one of the most accomplished record producers in music history.
