George Shilling is holding a course at Bank Cottage Studios on the 11th September covering  Real-World Mixing in Pro Tools 8 HD techniques in a unique one day workshop.

George Shilling famous for his interviews here on RecordProd.com has huge engineering and production history:  Steve Winwood  Ocean Colour Scene  Primal Scream  Coldcut  The Corrs  Soup Dragons  Yazz  OperaBabes  Mike Oldfield  Bernard Butler  Teenage Fanclub  James Brown  Blur  Texas  Gabrielle  Porcupine Tree  Paul van Dyk etc etc.

As well as covering the technical aspects, George will cover the processes he uses in the real world to achieve great mixes by the most direct route, plus an introduction to mastering techniques

George has previously lectured at SAE Oxford, and at University of Westminster, Leeds Met and Plymouth University in association with J.A.M.E.S.

Ian at Whitby Studios gives his short video introduction to this really nice, affordable, studio in the Wirral near Liverpool, UK.

Whitby Studios is not huge but is perfect for bands who will appreciate the range of instruments available and the fact that it has tape and Pro Tools.  Not many places at this price point offer 24 track Studer and 1 inch 8 track machines!
