We joined studio manager Marco on an extensive video tour around the SNAP Studios complex. Everything is covered, from the echo chambers to the kitchen, every room in this studio is tie-line'd up and what a great range of recording spaces... The classic Neve console is complemented by a vast selection of superb recording equipment including Fairchild, Pultec's, RCA mic and so much more.
We love SNAP Studios! Who else would build something quite so unique? We love the grass carpets, the huge range of ultra vintage microphones, we love the piano, the atmosphere, the amazing array of classic recording equipment, and, and we love the sound. It still is possible to record in a great studio for sensible money in London!
We strongly urge you to pay the studio a visit, it really is superb and also very affordable.
Rather than reading any further 'blurb', pay Marco at SNAP a visit and you will see why they've been almost fully booked from day one.
SNAP Studio is centred around a classic 5316 Neve console and has 48 inputs plus Flying Faders automation. SNAP has a great selection of vintage outboard equipment and microphones together with Pro Tools HD3 and Prism conversion. There is a 24 or 16 track two inch analogue multitrack machine and for mastering is a classic half inch Ampex ATR100. The studio is one of the very few recording studios in the UK to feature a sophisticated balanced mains supply which gives an ultra low noise floor.
In the live room there's a Bosendorfer Imperial Grand 225 piano, a good selection of backline equipment including Hammond with C3 Leslie, Wurlitzer, Pearl Vibes, vintage Sonor drums etc etc.
SNAP is easy to access by road or public transport being ten minutes walk from a tube station and has free parking. There's an excellent kitchen and lounge which is perfect to chill out and cook up some pasta etc!
