The Suite - London recording studio video feature

the suite recording studio - recording area

Based at the Utopia Village on Chalcot Road, London, the Suite is an amazing legacy of the original Utopia Studios which spawned so many hit records and producers in the 70's and 80's. It is now a calm and relaxing studio space that is ideally suited to bands and people looking for a discreet place to work having been carefully restored by studio owner Andrew Maurice. We are delighted to feature a unique video feature shot by Andrew!

the suite studios - control room

In the purpose built legendary Control Room is Logic Pro both with every plugin you could want, Mackie 32-8 desk and Yamaha NS10 monitors, Focusrite, Eventide, Bel etc.

In the live room there is an original Rhodes Stage Seventy Three, Hammond X5 Jaguar, Korg Polysix and Prophesy plus Yamaha RD500 and Roland D50. A good range of guitars are available including Fender Stratocaster, Guild S300, Parker Fly Deluxe, Crafter and Deering six string bango plus an Oscar Schmidt Auto Harp!

Plug in to the Marshall, Gorilla and a Roland Jazz Chorus 120 and lots of pedals. A good range of mic's are here, AKG C1000's, Audio Technica T4050 and Shure SM58's.

To bridge the historic with the new, a live web cam is ready for streaming gigs on the net and 'live' broadcast recordings! You can have a choice of experienced engineers including chief engineer, Paul Mysiak, who's worked with artists including The The, Divine Comedy, Howie B, Patricia Morrison, Desree, Kingmaker, Freestylers

The Method and Erasure. You also have on tap a resident football journalist (very handy!) and for the lethargic in need of refreshment, a BMX is ready for use.

The Suite has a really great feel where artists are comfortable and happy at a pretty good price to boot. Well worth a visit!
